Assigning a Customer by Editing the Asset
You can assign an asset to a customer by editing the asset.Steps
- In your Firmhouse project, go to Assets in the sidebar.
- Click on the row of the asset you would like to assign the customer from.
- On the asset detail page, click Edit in the top right.
- Select a customer to assign to the asset from the Owned by dropdown.
- Click Update.
De-assigning a Customer by Editing the Asset
You can de-assign an asset from being owned by anyone by editing the asset.Steps
- In your Firmhouse project, go to Assets in the sidebar.
- Click on the row of the asset you would like to de-assign ownership from.
- On the asset detail page, click Edit in the top right.
- From the Owned by dropdown, select — Not assigned —.
- Click Update.
Assigning an Asset from the Customer Detail Page
You can assign an asset straight from a Customer detail page. Assigning assets here allows you to quickly assign multiple assets to the customer. Please note: only the assets with status available are eligible for assignment from the customer page.Steps
- In your Firmhouse project, go to Customers in the sidebar.
- Click on the row of the customer you want to assign an asset to.
- On the customer detail page, scroll down to the Assets section.
- Click the Assign asset button.
- In the Assign asset dialog, find the asset you want to assign.
- Click Apply.
